John Brett Technology Ltd. enters “Westpac Business Enterprise Awards”

Our press release:
Press Release- John Brett Technology Ltd.

Are you sure your vehicle is safe? Are you sure it is legal for road use?

Any modified or scratch-built vehicle is required by law to have Low Volume Vehicle Certification to ensure that safety and environmental standards are met.
Warrant and COF agents are required to see an LVV Plate covering any modifications, before the WOF or COF can be issued. Insurers will decline insurance or claims for illegally modified vehicles. The NZ Police are happy to “Pink Sticker” any illegally modified vehicle, ordering it off the road.
John Brett Technology Ltd. is a “Low Volume Vehicle Certifying Organization”, under delegated authority from the Land Transport Agency.

John will

  1. Provide advice and information on vehicle modification.
  2. assist with the design, construction and modification of vehicles,
  3. carry out the required inspections, and
  4. Issue an official “Low Volume Vehicle Certification plate” which shows that the vehicle now meets the standards required.

John Brett Technology works with

  1. new vehicle franchises,
  2. used vehicle Importers,
  3. seatbelt specialists,
  4. mini-bus and wheelchair van constructors,
  5. disability adaption specialists,
  6. classic car enthusiasts,
  7. Professional and amateur vehicle modifiers of all types.

Example – a performance car enthusiast may want to fit a bigger engine, modified suspension, different wheels and tyres, big exhaust, etc. John has to ensure that the finished vehicle drives handles and brakes to the required standard, and meets the exhaust emission and noise standards.

Example -mini-buses and wheelchair taxis: A 50 K.P.H. collision is equivalent to a 3 story drop to the ground. The seats, seatbelts, and wheelchair restraints all have to protect the occupants from injury. John will help design the installation and supervise the construction.

Example- a classic car enthusiast will now be required to fit seatbelts to any vehicle later than 1955. John can engineer a seatbelt system to provide safety, with minimal affect on the original appearance of the vehicle.

  • I am not sure if I agree with your post here. See you do make the best point, I don’t think you have actually given a large amount of thought to the opposite side of the argument. Perhaps I could do a guest post or a follow-up, just tell me.

Thank you for your comment. I am not sure what it is that you mean by the “opposite side of the arguement”. Please reply and expand on what it is that you mean. John Brett
